In this project, we will be exploring different ways in which Jewellery can be displayed. Breaking away from the traditional jewellery exhibition, we will be using different media to investigate the relationships between jewellery and space beyond the body. Projection, lighting, video and augmented reality will be applied towards the development of live/virtual event. We will be collaborating with students and tutors from the Birmingham School of Jewellery in the development of an installation piece that will bring different disciplines together breaking the boundaries between them. We will be exploring scale, and the possibilities that augmented reality opens up in the inhabitation of jewellery pieces and artefacts.

Touch the Light project consists of three main workshops throughout my PhD research so far. There were three groups of people who were involved and participated in the project; they were PhD researchers from architecture, the Royal Birmingham Concervatoire (RBC) acting and choreography. Audience members, including BA students and research staff, were also involved in this project.

A pilot project was conducted in August of 2019 as an initial exploration phrase of my studio practice. Then it is developed into two workshops that include students and researchers from architecture and RBC.
